The Executive Committee has the power of decision and is directly responsible for interpreting and carrying out the general policies established by the General Assembly for the administration, management and control of the property and affairs of ICEB.
Positions on the Executive Committee are put forward by a Nominations Committee and confirmed by the General Assembly. Positions are held for a four year term.
Members of the Executive Committee for the 2020-2024 term are as follows:
- President: Judy Dixon (USA, de-territorialised)
- Immediate Past President: Christo de Klerk (South Africa, de-territorialised)
- Vice-President: Ilka Stäglin (Ireland)
- Secretary: Frances Mary D’Andrea (USA)
- Treasurer: Jen Goulden (Canada)
- Code Maintenance Officer: Matthew Horspool (UK, de-territorialised)
- Public Relations Officer: Maria Stevens (New Zealand)

Additional Members:
The Executive Committee at its sole discretion may appoint up to two Additional Members to attend its meetings. For the 2020-2024 term the additional members are:

- Mary Schnackenberg (New Zealand)
In addition to carrying out its work via listserv, the Executive Committee meets monthly by teleconference, at face-to-face meetings immediately before and after the General Assembly, and two years later at a mid-term Executive meeting.
